REVOLUTIONARY ALE FOR HONEY HOLLOW BREWING CO.

I was hired to design a label for a beer that was supposedly the recipe from Thomas Jefferson. The brewery is Honey Hollow Brewing Co. in Earlton NY.

I found etching pens online to use in Illustrator and drew from a photo of a historical painting for the head. I drew my husband's hand holding an antique tankard we bought at a junk shop. And the sleeve, I drew from photographs of period clothing.

I wanted to make this look somewhat like a tattered old document. I made the background look like torn and tea stained paper that will blend in with the bottle on the edge,

These are the steps I took to design this....
